Castle Wolfenstein
Built in 1931 for Baron Louis Empain, Castle Wolfenstein began as a private residence overlooking the Ardennes.
After the Second World War, the estate took on a very different purpose,
becoming a place of rest and recovery for former prisoners of war before later forming part of a larger care complex.
Today, its imposing towers and empty rooms stand in quiet contrast to the lives that once filled them.
As nature slowly reclaims the château, former grandeur gives way to a haunting beauty, reminding us that nothing lasts forever.
